Friday Link Love

flldd2009

I haven't had time to read blogs again this week, BUT I did find some links that I liked via some of the people I follow on Twitter! Hopefully I'll get back to my lonesome little RSS feeds one of these days, but for now let's jump right in!

Ever heard of nut milks? I've heard of almond and cashew milk, but never peanut milk. Have cake, will travel shares a recipe for peanut milk. How fabulous does that look?

Tartlette posted a gluten-free Chocolate Truffle Tart that looked right up my alley! Jamison probably wouldn't touch this with a ten foot pole, but I've never met chocolate I didn't like!

Check out the New York Style Pizza posted by Kristen at Dine and Dish. Who says you can't have pizza at home?

I'm a huge fan of sweet potatoes. They are most likely one of my favorite foods! Vanilla Sugar posted a Sweet Potato Hash that I'm definitely going to be making soon!

Blueberries are also a personal favorite! How great do the Blueberry Cheesecake Muffins that Having Fun In the Kitchen shared look? Yum!

Check out Macheesmo's Baked Mashed Potato Dip...Oh my! How great does that look?

Now let's take a look at another blueberry link! No Fear Entertaining shared some Big and Bold Blueberry Muffins that look divine!

And last but not least chocolate and caramel are one of my favorite combos and Recipe Girl's Fudgy Caramel Brownies look like heaven on a plate to me!

What caught your eye this week?

And to round things up let's pause for a moment and remember today's sad history. 9/11 always brings me a day long sense of melancholy as I'm sure it does many of you as well. My thoughts go out to the families and friends who lost loved ones as this day is even harder for them. Take a moment some time today and pause to remember. It is important not to forget.

First up let me take care of a little Dianne's Dishes "business". Next week I won't be posting recipes. It's Miss G's first week of 1st grade and we'll be busy doing 1st grade stuff! I should have lined up some guest bloggers, but in all my preparations for actual school work I didn't think of that! I had hoped to find some time to get some recipes up and ready to go ahead of time, but well that didn't happen either! So next week you'll get What's For Dinner? and possibly Friday Link Love...It will just depend on how the week goes! After that we should be in a routine and then I'll get back to the recipes!

Anyway....

OK chocolate and peanut butter...You know I like that! When I saw these Chocolate Peanut Butter Cookie Duos on Picky Palate my mouth began to water! Don't they look zen like? Sort of Yin and Yang? Yum!

Have you got squash and zuchini and don't know what to do with it? The Homesick Texan posted a really great looking Tex-Mex Squash Casserole that I'm really going to have to try!

My blog daughter Ingrid took one of my all time favorite flavors and made some Key Lime Pie Ice Cream! I've made Key Lime Ice Cream myself, but mine didn't have graham crackers. I'm going to have to try that! Looks delicious!

Alexis and I have a busy day ahead. Katherine and the boys are coming over so the kids can run all over the side of the mountain, before it goes from cold (earlier this week) to nice today to hot as Hades this weekend! I hope they run and run and run and did I mention run? And then tire themselves out! ;oP I had meant to write this up last night, but well we talked about what my day was like yesterday and it just didn't happen and I'm writing it up this morning!

Anyway, let's jump right in shall we?

Did you know that Amazon has a food blog? Well they do and they shared two recipes for lemon pasta dishes, one from Mario Batali for Fettuccini Al Limone, and the other from the Moosewood Cafe for Creamy Lemon Pasta! All I can say is yum! You can see them both here.

Alexis loves the movie Ratatouille . Ever since I saw the movie I've wanted to make the dish, but it's one of those things I keep forgetting. Anyone else have that problem? Forgetting and then going on to something else. Oh wait!...I'm doing it again! ;oP Anyway Vegalicious posted a Garlic Baguette with Ratatouille that brought the idea back to the forefront! I think I like most anything Dark Chocolate, and most definitely ice cream!

Over at Del Sister's Kitchen they blogged about Zebrobrownies that look fabulous! I'll take some of those!

Now if you'll excuse me I'm going downstairs to make a tomato salad for lunch and get ready for my youngest nephew's delicious hair. I mean seriously...He's just too cute. You'll just have to take my word for it! ;oP Just picture a fuzzy little head with hair sticking up all over it as if it you had rubbed a balloon all over his head. It just points up and refuses to lie down and it's just adorable!

I'm off! Have a fabulous Friday everyone! TGIF!

Update: 10:08 PM: My sister and I discussed it and decided we'd show you Grant's hair...We just won't show you his face! ;oP
